FAMOUS ROCKERS. Led Zeppelin, formed in London in 1968. Vocalist Robert Plant, guitarist Jimmy Page, bassist/keyboardist John Paul Jones, drummer John Bonham (deceased, 1980). With a heavy, guitar-driven sound, they are cited as one of the progenitors of hard rock. The band was called New Yardbirds in 1963, an incarnation of the 1960s Yardbirds, which included three of rock music's best guitarists: Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, and Jimmy Page. Led Zeppelin disbanded in 1980.

I remember my early-morning bus ride to a moviehouse in Manila to patiently line up for almost 2 hours to watch Led Zeppelin’s 1976 concert movie “The Song Remains the Same.” Robert Plant: “Does anybody remember laughter?” ๐ŸŽธ๐ŸŽผ๐ŸŽธ

Jimi Hendrix was born Johnny Allen Hendrix in 1942 in Seattle. Although his mainstream career spanned only four years, he is widely regarded as one of the greatest and most influential electric guitarists in the history of popular music. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, which inducted him in 1992, describes Mr Hendrix as "arguably the greatest instrumentalist in the history of rock music.” He died in 1970 due to “asphyxia while intoxicated with barbiturates.” He was only 27. ๐ŸŽธ๐ŸŽผ๐ŸŽธ
